The Greenfield Police Department serves a population of approx. 2,300 people. The Department consists of a Chief, 2 LTs, 4 patrol officers, and 1 civilian records clerk. The Greenfield Police Department is a continuous operating department. The Police Department is active in the community and hosts a cookout for the senior citizens in the community, each Memorial Day. We have a senior call list where each day an officer calls seniors to check on their welfare.
Qualifications to become a police officer in Greenfield are as follows:
- High School diploma or GED
- Pass physical and psychological testing
- Have a valid Tennessee driver's license at time of appointment
- Successfully complete the Tennessee Law-Enforcement Training Academy
- No Felony convictions
